Goal: The Food Bank Council of Michigan and its seven regional food banks have turned to Edge for ongoing public relations, communications and branding services. From the Flint Water Crisis and pandemic food response to vital partnerships, Edge has helped FBCM become a nationally recognized model to effectively address food insecurity.
Outcomes: Over the years, Edge has generated millions of dollars in earned media through op-eds, news releases, media interviews and even a food insecurity-focus radio show, Food First, on WJR in Detroit. Priceless, however, is the power of partnerships. Nowhere is that more evident than between two clients that Edge was instrumental in bringing together – FBCM and Farm Bureau Insurance of Michigan. We saw the tremendous opportunities between those who need the food and those who grow the food with the goal of ending food insecurity in Michigan. Today, Farm Bureau’s for-purpose cause is ending childhood hunger in our state.
